The Street Smarts Storybook Poster Contest Awards Ceremony

Registration Begins at 4:00 p.m.
Awards Ceremony Begins at 5:00 p.m.
Join us at the 6th Annual Street Smarts Storybook Poster Contest Awards Ceremony on March 11, 2010 at the Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center. All student artwork will be displayed in the exhibit hall beginning at 3:30 p.m. Students and their guests can view the the artwork on display and take pictures in front of their artwork. Refreshments will also be served in the exhibit hall.
All students who participated in the contest will be able to pick up their award certificates and ribbons at the Awards Ceremony registration tables starting at 4:00 p.m. The theatre opens at 4:00 p.m. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Please arrive by 4:30 p.m. to pick up certificates and ribbons.
At the ceremony, Danville Mayor Mike Doyle, San Ramon Mayor H. Abram Wilson, Contra Costa County District III Supervisor Mary N. Piepho, San Ramon Valley Unified School District Board President Rachel Hurd and Rob Scott from sponsor Sunset Development Company will be presenting the awards and announcing the winners of the contest.
All student attendees will be eligible to win prizes from dozens of attractions and organizations such as Pier 39, Malibu Grand Prix, Boomers!, San Francisco 49ers, and the San Jose Sharks!
The storybook "The Giant's Party" will be unveiled. Join us for a book signing with author Dana Mentink and the winning student illustrators immediately following the Awards Ceremony.
